Exciting Field Trip to the Camosun BOG

THIS WEEK WE PACKED OUR BAGS FULL OF EXPLORER ITEMS AND HIT THE TRAILS IN THE CAMOSUN BOG!

WE USED ALL OF OUR SENSES: LISTENING , SMELLING, TASTING, LOOKING, AND FEELING ALL THAT WAS AROUND US😊😊😊
First we took a stroll along the boardwalk. Here we found ducks, bugs, and many different types of plants ( even ones that eat insects!).

We got up close and personal at the observation dock. Here we were able to see little tiny bugs in the area. We got to touch the spongy ground. We discussed all the creatures that could live in this area and we brainstormed why we thought they would like to live there. We sniffed the air around the swamp to see if we could catch a sniff of the damp atmosphere around us.

Here we are practising our quiet nature voices and our bird calls in the bird zone!!
We even got to see a humming bird!

Then we entered the forest where the wild things are!! Here we touched moss, mushrooms and different types of ferns. We sat down for our snack and our dandelion tea!

We took some of our cool items we found at the BOG and brought them back for some observations in our SCIENCE ZONE and some super cool art in the ART ZONE!
