UNICORN ROOM UPDATE
This week the unicorns have had an eventful week ! The children read 3 little pigs at circle time and boy did they fall in love with the story! They brought the story to life outside in the playground playing "the big bad wolf" They also re-enacted the story with felt and little toys. They even went as far as creating their own pig homes in the art area! Check out the amazing finished work in our hallway across from the washrooms!
IN OUR ART CORNER WE CREATED OUR OWN
HOUSES FOR THE PIGS: BRICK HOUSES WITH MATERIAL, STICK HOUSE WITH POPSICLE
STICKS AND STRAW HOMES WITH YELLOW CELLOPHANE
We have continued this week into our interests in bugs!! The children were discussing why they were seeing more bees, so we decided to have a wasp and hive investigation!
(don't worry they were dead!π) You can see they were discovering what they looked like, and then they sketched out what they had discovered!
We had great fun practising the colours of the rainbow. We matched colours, mixed colours it was a colourful day!!
We have started speaking about fall and all the beautiful things that come with that, like the change in weather, animals beginning to hibernate and of course all the fun activities and yummy treats! The children used food and baking ideas all week in the dramatic play area! They loved dressing up at chefs and bakers making the teachers and their friends lots of yummy treats!
We are looking forward to next week so we can explore and discover so much more!
