Fun Week at Preschool..Writing Skills, Sight Words and Floating/Sinking

OUR FRIENDS USED THEIR IMAGINATION DURING OUTDOOR PLAY, MAKING OUR PLAY STRUCTURE INTO A PIRATE SHIP WHO SAILED THROUGH THE ROUGH SHARK FILLED OCEAN!

 OUR TEACHERS DECIDED TO READ US THE STORY ABOUT AN AMAZING ADVENTURE INTO THE BACK YARD POND.

THEN...

WE DECIDED TO BUILD BOATS. AFTER WEEKS OF PRACTISING FLOATING/SINKING WE PUT OUR MATERIALS TO THE TEST!!

Farm Field Trip!

Some of our friends have gone to visit some new friends at the FARM this week!

Come see who we saw, touched, fed and more!

We loaded the bus! For some of us, it was our first time on a SCHOOL BUS!

HERE WE ARE. ARRIVED AT THE FARM, LOOK WHO WAS CHECKING US OUT!

WE SPOTTED A HORSE...WAIT...SO MANY HORSES! WE EVEN LEARNED HOW TO PET AND FEED THEM SAFTELY! 

LOOK AT THOSE GIANT TEETH!!

 WE GOT TO FEED THE CHICKENS, AND WE EVEN SAW SOMETHING AMAZING. WE GOT TO SEE WHERE AND HOW THE CHICKES LAY THEIR EGGS!

WE WENT ON WORM HUNT!

 PLAYED IN THE HAY LOFT! 

 WE GOT TO SEE ALLLLL THE BUSY HONEY BEES!

 SPOTTING ALL THE DIFFERENT PLANTS ALONG OUR FARM STROLL!

AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST....THE GOATS!

MAY 17TH

Happy Thursday Friends!

It is a extra long weekend for all of our children at preschool. There is NO CLASS tomorrow as it is a Professional Development for the staff and as I know you are all aware it is a holiday on Monday. When we return on Tuesday it will be our 3 year old Farm Field Trip 😊

This week we also handed out some information for everyone with regards to PARK DAY, and the 4 Year Old ( only ) BEACH DAY coming up in June. We are also calling all DAD'S to come join us for our father's day party . Invitations went out this week so please let us know if you/grandpa or anyone else can make it!

Here is some fun pictures on our week!

In our Unicorn Room we have been practising our colours and numbers. Our colour and number bean bags went missing! We needed to work as a team to collect all 10 numbers, and then put them in order to complete the task and bring them all home!

We had an amazing outdoor class where we worked on our lengths and widths using something as simple as sticks  and we counted acorns with Stevie the squirrel! 

We worked on balance using a wood beam, rocks and our gross motor with our beloved tree! 

We then built forts, created towers and structures and had a big dance PARTY
